An alumnus of Villa Theresa Convent School and HR College Mumbai, Puja has done her PGDFA in Capital Marketing from ICFAI. Puja’s deep interest in finances came handy in the family business and she started her career by handling her father’s portfolio in his share market investment business.
Harbouring keen interest in health and fitness since early youth, Puja was actively involved in the administrative operations of family run AMRI hospital for 6 years. After a short sabbatical she is now all set to be back in business and will be looking after the CSR of Emami group. Passion for health is what drives Puja the most, and she is now a pro in running marathons. She ran a 25 km marathon last year, and is all set to take the Mumbai marathon in January 2017. Her enthusiasm for fitness is further enunciated in her participation in the Oxfam trail walk of 100 km in December 2016 and trekking to the Everest base camp in October 2015. Such is her fervour that she had roped-in 24 Young FICCI Ladies Organisation Kolkata members as participants in the 10 Km marathon held in December 2016.
A member of YFLO, Kolkata, for last 8 years, Puja is now at the helm of the organisation. As the head of the organisation Puja has organised a series of talks, sessions, and workshops which facilitated awareness of the members on diverse issues of national and global significance, including financial education, building start-up ecosystem et al. In the last one year she has spoken on forums held by ‘She the People’ and Merchant Chambers of Commerce, on women empowerment and inclusive development. She is also an active member of Young Presidents Organisation, Kolkata.
From a travel enthusiast and a singer specialising in semi-classical music to a keen amateur photographer, dynamic and feisty Puja Goenka sports a motley cap. A keen amateur shooter Puja is endowed with “a good eye” to use colors, shadows, shades, light, and distance to compose good shots. Puja is equally known for her keen interest in working for the cause of women and children. She is actively involved with a number of NGOs and regularly contributes and participates in their development programmes. A woman with strong interpersonal skills and an inherent ability to multitask a variety of challenges and responsibilities, Puja adroitly strikes a balance between home and work.
