Truly passionate about development and transformation, Palena is a highly experienced international development professional, coach, mentor, and lecturer. Adept in identifying needs and solutions in diverse settings, she has worked with UN, NGO, government, private sector and academic partners on gender issues and women’s empowerment, sexual and reproductive health, HIV, AIDS, and leadership programs in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
Committed to helping people fulfil their potential, she coaches development professionals worldwide, driving forward management and leadership capacity to end poverty, fight inequalities, tackle climate change, and ensure that no one is left behind. She designs, delivers, and evaluates team building, group dynamics, communication, leadership, mentoring, and employee engagement interventions and has created an international mentoring program for development professionals in NGOs in developing countries. This is being piloted in India. Palena speaks English and French, and has a PhD in Gender and International Politics, has conducted post-doctoral research on employee engagement, and is a Barefoot (UK) accredited Business and Personal Coach.
She is also lecturer on Masters’ courses in Management, Leadership, Human Resource Management, Geopolitics and International Business in Paris and the UK – proud to inspire the next generation of socially responsible leaders.
