Amna Bibi is secretary Planing of MEK Community Development. She is young graduate and social organizer with Water and Sanitation Project and raise awareness around the defecting villagers. She visit regularly every couple of days with her teem to encourage the women and girls and discuss their problems and explain that hygiene and sanitation are special problems for women and girls ,who want safe and clean drinking water and toilets because they want privacy, especially when they are menstruating. They plan to create awareness among the masses about sanitation , menstrual hygiene, toilets and unsafe drinking water. Saima Esma is a member of Board of Governors at Youth Impact which is a not-for-profit initiative focusing on the development of youth since 2011 and has touched more than 19,000 young souls by now. As a trainer of life and learning skills from Youth Impact’s platform, she interacts with youngsters coming from diverse educational institutions and mixed social and ethnic backgrounds. Especially, watching young passionate girls grow into responsible, self aware and selfless adults is what drives her into the pursuit of youth leadership development. As a poet and a writer, she is a celebrated contributor in the top literary magazines of Urdu in Pakistan. She has a book of poetry on her credit with the name of “Gul e Dopehr” that received a wide acclaim among readers and critics. A collection of short stories by her is under publication. Resuming her studies as a wife and a mother, she completed MPhil in Media and Communication Studies from University of Punjab Lahore. She investigated the use of modern media by female religious groups in Pakistan as her research project. Now she is a PhD scholar and conducting research in the area of Media Imperialism. Gender Studies, Feminism and Religion are the other areas of her keen interest. As a research scholar she has presented papers in national and international conferences including participation in the prestigious Beijing +twenty at UN, New York. For last 16 years, she is working as a free lance journalist and editor of a women magazine with an aim to empower women and reform the conditions of less privileged women folk in Pakistan. In all her social endeavors and academic pursuits, she manifests a firm belief in the capabilities of today’s women for making this world a better place to live. Her multifaceted work and engagements come from her high level of passion and commitment to the development and wellbeing of society. In everything that she embarks upon, she has a clear picture of future in her mind. All the multidimensional work that she does is closely aligned with her coherent view of a peaceful and harmonious society where basic human values are preserved and practiced.
