Nishi Joshi Bhatt

Nishi, born and brought up in Guildford, Surrey, is trained in Ballet since the age of 3. She is also trained in Hip Hop, Modern Jazz and Bharatanatayam (Classical Indian Dance).
In 2015 she founded ‘Dance Shakti’, a Bollywood dance performance troupe and school, based in London, UK, for which she is the lead dancer, teacher and choreographer. Her speciality is to train students from different cultures including Native British, Europeans, with a view to provide performance exposure at multi-cultural events.
Nishi’s choreography emphasises on showcasing the richness and beauty of folk and classical Indian dance styles whilst embracing the energy and buzz of Bollywood.
From the age of 16 she has been sought after by industry experts to help choreograph major box office events such as Pantomime on Ice and hold workshops at Summer Music festivals. Several educational organisations also have been pursuing her to start joint ventures.
