President of the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks, helped creating the Portuguese network of 21 Food Banks, that distributed food aid (actually 2.600 charities, that help feeding 420.000 people in need). Founder and President of ENTRAJUDA (2004), a very innovative project created with the mission of creating capacity building in the social sector, by educating nonprofits in management and organization, mobilizing civic society, to respond to several needs perceived within other social welfare institutions which, managed with the heart, could be more effective in serving their beneficiaries if provided with a number of management and organization instruments and resources.
