Lakshmi is the political aide and India adviser to British Parliamentarian, Bob Blackman MP and assists him on the various Committees, All Party Parliamentary Groups including the Indian Traditional Sciences, British Hindus, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Cultural identity and connecting to your roots, remains the underlying theme of all Lakshmi’s work. Among her recent achievements is the first ever Jammu Kashmir Festival that she conceptualised and curated. She continues to engage with and building the communities stronger via various cultural, social and professional initiatives. The start-ups and small business summit was yet another of her initiatives that helped new businesses get guidance, direction and support from the government as well as each other. Being a woman herself and a mother, she encourages women of all age groups to bring out their strengths and use them for their own progress as well as community development.
