KEZY MUKIRI is the Executive Director of Ignite Trade Africa, an organization whose goal is to promote inclusive trade for sustainable development. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Ignite Trade Africa works to enhance the participation of SMEs in Intra-Africa trade through capacity building programs and access to market initiatives. Ignite Trade Africa also provides tailored solutions to enable foreign firms to navigate the complexities of the African markets.

She is also the CEO /Founder of Zuri Events Ltd – a brand management and event management firm which is the leading champion of Sustainable Event Management (SEM) in East Africa. Her company has worked with some of region’s largest MNCs, government institutions, International Organizations and MSMEs. In this role, she provides strategic leadership within the areas of branding, business development, marketing, risk management, resource mobilization and partnership development.

In addition, Kezy is a partner at Mukiri Global Advocates (MGA) – a Law Firm that offers legal, tax and business consultancy services. A dynamic lawyer and entrepreneur, Kezy is keen on building strong brands and sustainable enterprises on the African Continent.

In 2015, Kezy was selected to join the Mandela Washington Fellowship. The fellowship is the flagship program of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). In the same year, she was selected amongst only 69 women entrepreneurs across the globe for the Vital Voices Global Partnership fellowship which seeks to enhance the capacity of women entrepreneurs to build sustainable enterprises and change communities. She is also an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program.

Kezy is passionate about Internationalization of Trade. She volunteers as the Vice President in charge of Programs at the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) – Nairobi Chapter where she designs programs to facilitate access to opportunities and partnerships for local women-owned MSMEs seeking to access global markets for their products and services.

She graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) and an M.A degree in International Relations. She was admitted to the roll of Advocates in Kenya in 2005 and is currently pursuing Doctoral Studies in Diplomacy and Sustainable Development.
