Kavita Poddar

Kavita Poddar born and brought up in Kolkata Was educated at Modern High School and passed out in ’66 as Head Girl and Best student of the Year Was married at an early age of 16 and lived the life of a homemaker Became a mother of a boy and a girl Then a turning point came when my mentor/ guide Late Uma Basu inducted me into becoming an active floral artist in Pushpa Bitan She introduced Indian Floral Art and also the rest of the world to me Through Late Lady Julia Clements we became members of NAFAS the UK floral body And then went on to join Wafa World Assn of Floral Artists Started competing and won awards in UK USA Canada Ireland Italy and India Did the Judging course too and became a trainee adjudicator Am the current head of PBFS and the incoming president of Wafa We as India are hosting the world show in 2020 in Jaipur Have achieved all this and more with the support of Family and friends
