Katie started her training and motivational speaking career in 1989. She worked for The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development running programmes for female staff from all 51 countries of operation, and headed up the Task Force to look at gender diversity. From there she worked for Business in the Community working with FTSE companies on their CSR and gender diversity agendas, often being asked to speak and present to the Board and at conferences. Since 2004 she has been running a speaking, training, coaching and consultancy company. Amongst her many international clients are: Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Atkins Global, Citibank, Northern Trust, Kent Police, AXA, Kimberley Clark, Willis and AIG. She has been a guest lecturer at Warwick Business School on their MBA programme and is currently a visiting professor at The Shadomal Shahani Centre for Management in Mumbai, India. She regularly writes for a number of online business publications and has been interviewed many times on radio in the UK, USA, Australia and India, and has appeared on television in Canada and Dubai speaking on women in the boardroom. Her signature programme for Women in Leadership has been running now for over ten years and Katie has delivered this in the UK, USA, India and the Middle East. Her first book, The High-heeled Leader, led to book signing trips to the East and West coast of the USA along with appearances all over the world. Katie recently worked with over 100 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria with a series of webinars on how to take their business to the next stage of success. She is mentoring women entrepreneurs in Ghana and has worked with a number of students from Cote d’Ivoire. She is one of the Directors at the Foundation for International Collaboration. Katie is a sought after global speaker, often appearing as the Keynote at conferences in UK, US, India, the Middle East and Africa. Katie was the winner of WEConnect International Global Pitch Competition in Philadelphia. Her new book, No-one to fall back on, behind every successful woman is herself’ is coming out in Spring 2018.
