Karin Ireton

Karin Ireton is a Non-Executive Director of Aureus Mining Inc as well as of the South African National Business Initiative (NBI) and the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT). She is an international expert on corporate sustainability who has travelled to more than 30 countries for her work and has contributed to international, national and local policy development and the management systems required by companies in mining and finance. She has held executive sustainability portfolios at Standard Bank and Anglo American. She chairs the Institute of Directors’ Sustainable Development Forum an serves on the Integrated Reporting Committee of South Africa and consults on sustainability strategies and risk management.
