Kadambari Sathish began her occupational journey as a paramedical employee, to be more precise as a Cardiac Technologist. She got married at the age of 20 and planned to change her profession after deciding to stay back in India. This led her to work with a recruitment and consultancy firm for a year. Enthusiastic to venture out on her own, she started a business along with her then colleagues. As she toiled sincerely she gradually realized she had experimented with a wrong partnership. She
began to feel the burden of her incompatible associates weigh her down which brought her to make the difficult decision of closing the company. Unemployment for a short period had given her a lot of time and energy at her disposal. Although she was able to introspect into her career, being confined in her house led to frustration and troubles at home. She then
mustered up the courage to join her photographer husband as a business consultant and complimented his line of work for over 3 years. While the company grew, she felt an inner purpose to launch a company as a legacy to leave that could address a larger purpose. She was now clear about her situational leadership skills and as a passionate learner, she joined an entrepreneurship course at IIMBangalore. After gathering knowledge about business for the last 10 years, and enduring the emotional roller coaster that accompanied her career, she ignored her first failure and determinedly began WEDO- Women’s Entrepreneur Development Organisation. Taking into consideration her own situation, she felt professional women can exhibit their potential to the fullest with the right knowledge, network, and opportunities.
