She led a top-performing U.S. SBA Women’s Business Center as board president/executive director. Judy elevates intuition, shared vision and community building in leadership to leverage strengths, social initiatives, and collaborative action for good.
Judy Hawkins brings over 21 years of experience in training, leadership and organizational development to advance entrepreneurial culture in both the nonprofit and business sectors. She is the founder of Ruby Road Leadership and instructor of Entrepreneur Training at Santa Barbara City College. She served as Executive Director for one of the top performing SBA Women’s Business Centers in the nation, providing loans and services to entrepreneurs to assess, launch and grow over 2000 businesses in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties during her tenure. In 2008, the Pacific Coast Business Times honored Judy as one of the Top 50 Women in Business. She completed the Executive Program for Non-Profit Leadership atStanford University School of Business. One of four California professionals selected by Rotary International’s Global Study Exchange (GSE), Judy shared best practices with South Africa’s regional leaders on entrepreneurial training and small business. As a statewide board member of the California Association of Microenterprise Opportunity (CAMEO), Judy advocates for entrepreneurial training in the state & federal workforce development system to serve the state’s unemployed. Judy is a founding board member of A Different Point of View.
