J. Frederika Eaddy

J. Frederika Eaddy is a preacher, teacher, leadership consultant, and poet. ! A spirit-filled, passionate, creative and accomplished professional, she has over 15 years of experience in operations, ministry leadership, youth and young adult ministry, counseling, organizational and people development, management and administration. One of her life’s goal is to ensure that people and organizations reach their full potential.! Reverend Eaddy is the founder of I Just Believe Ministries Inc. , an organization dedicated to creating a safe environment for survivors of sexual abuse and assault and domestic violence to heal. She also serves as an Associate Minister at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo Maryland, where she serves as president of the counseling ministry, educator, worship leader and administrative support. Additionally, she also serves as an Associate Pastor at Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Here her primary responsibilities are preaching, teaching, congregational and community care.!
She is the author of “Getting Naked To Get Free”, a collection of poetry released to let those who have been impacted by sexual abuse, domestic violence and mental illness know that they are not alone. As a survivor of sexual abuse, she is committed to sharing her testimony and to bringing awareness to an issue that so deeply affects so lives of many women. She has experienced the life transforming healing of Jehovah-Rapha and knows that healing is possible for others. And because she deeply believes that healing is possible, she helps others move beyond the shame and stigma of abuse in order to rediscover their joy.
Reverend Eaddy received a Master of Divinity degree (cum laude) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in May 2016. ! She is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and currently resides in the District of Columbia.
