A fluent bi-lingual legal professional specialised in legal affairs, well versed knowledge of the Laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain and GCC including Labour Law, Corporate law, Commercial Companies Law, International Law as well as Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADR) and Arbitration.
Fadia holds an MBA degree from Glamorgan University, Cardiff – Wales, UK; and Bachelor degree in Law from Yarmook University in Jordan. A Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), she is also a Certified Negotiator and Mediator by the University of Waterloo, Canada; and an Accredited Arbitrator by the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre. Fadia has in total approximately 14 years professional experience in the areas of legal affairs, corporate and commercial affairs, human resources and management.
Currently, Fadia is a Legal Counsel & Board Secretary at Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (GARMCO), Kingdom of Bahrain, since June 2014. Prior to joining GARMCO, she spent three years as Legal Counsel and Board Secretary of the Gulf Aviation Academy B.S.C (closed), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Fadia’s work experience includes but not limited to, negotiating business agreements, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documents, resolving HR / labour disputes and ensuring the Company’s compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements as well as maintaining international standards and best practices. In addition to advising the Board of Directors and Senior Management on different legal aspects and how to minimise legal risk; and ensured the company’s legal compliance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
