Elina Liehu

Elina Liehu hails originally from Lahti, Finland. She studied for her Bachelor’s degree at SLK in Helsinki. She studied further at Schiller International University in Paris 1992-3 and gained her MBA at ENPC in 1994. After this, she assumed the role of Country Manager for Ballad ZAO in ST.Petersburg, Russia, promoting various international companies and facilitating their entry to the Russian markets. In 1998 Elina returned to her native Finland and held various sales and managerial positions in technology companies until becoming the Managing Director of eWork Nordic’s Finnish operations. eWork Nordic pioneered the IT Broker business in Finland. In this position she was instrumental in transforming a new entry into the Finnish market from scratch into a EUR 30 million turnover business in 2010. At eWork Elina oversaw a team of over 400 IT consultants.
Elina was appointed the Managing Director of CodeBakers in 2011, helping the company turn successful. In 2013 she took a sabbatical to assess the market and find new and exciting opportunities. These she found while piloting the Interim Management Business for Taplow Finland. Elina ended up buying out the IM business and setting up her own company, Ferovalo in 2016.
Ferovalo is focused on building and developing the Interim Management business and Board Member matching service, initially in Finland and then globally. Ferovalo helps customers find experienced managers in time of change and growth. Ferovalo’s target is to be a global competence matching service and platform.
In addition to running her own business, Elina is the Director of the Board of Thinking Portfolio, a developer of SaaS-based project management tools.
Elina’s business network is extensive. There is hardly a mover and shaker in the fields of Interim Management, Technology or IT whom she doesn’t know.
Elina is married with an 8-year old son. She loves to travel and take part in charitable events.
