Dr. Manoj K. Shukla
Nakayama Chair, New Mexico State University
Dr. Manoj K Shukla is a Nakayama Chair and Professor of Environmental Soil Physics at New Mexico State University. He currently serves as an Expert Panel member for US-Mexico Border Health Commission. Dr. Shukla has provided research leadership by serving as both chair and secretary on two of the USDA’s western multi-state projects on technologies to address the Global Water Challenge. He severs as Editor in Chief of Journal of Environment and Analytical Toxicology and Executive Committee member and Editor for Vadose Zone Journal. He has served two terms as Associate Editor for the Soil Science Society America Journal. He was invited to speak at meetings in the U.S., China, India, Israel, and Mexico. He serves as a Steering Committee member of NMSU Advancing Leaders Program, and has served on NMSU University Research Council and Chair ACES P&T committee. Dr. Shukla has received several awards including Patricia Christmore Faculty, North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture and National Water and Energy Award. Dr. Shukla has written three books and authored more than 100- refereed Journal articles.
