Dr. Kathryn Seifert, Founder and Executive Director of Eastern Shore Psychological Services (ESPS). ESPS grew from 1 small office and 5 employees to 5 small to large offices with 140 employees over 20n years. She has worked for over 40 years in the areas of mental health, criminal justice, and addictions and has provided treatment and assessment services to youth and adults in community, hospital, and correctional settings. She is a licensed psychologist in Maryland and holds a PhD from the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus.

Dr. Seifert owns ESPS Total Wellness. She specializes in integrated healthcare and prevention. She has lectured both nationally and internationally and provides training on the topics of “Predicting and Assessing the Risk for Violence,” “Assessing and Treating Trauma ,” and “Violence Risk Reduction Planning.” Her first book, How Children Become Violent, was published in October 2006. Her second Book, Youth Violence: Theory, Prevention, and Intervention was published in 2015 and is a college text book. In addition to these paper books and numerous ebooks, Dr. Seifert has developed the CARE-2, Child and Adolescent Risk/Needs Evaluation and the “Levels of Care”. Dr. Seifert is an internationally recognized expert in the assessment and treatment of behavioral health problems and aggression and has appeared on CNN, Discovery ID, and Fox News. She consults with numerous public agencies. She spoke at a conference on “Reducing Gun Violence after Sandy Hook” in Newtown, CT along with (then) Vice President Joe Biden.
