Debbie Lee helps people and organizations for positive change and creative growth in their professional and personal life by sharing her storytelling and transformational education. Her work does not only bring high performance and meaningful achievement but also inner growth for the next level of life and development. She started her first career in the foreign investment field at HSBC supporting global funds to reach their goals and then moved on to commercial trade field consulting Nordic and European companies to find and unlock the new global markets under the organizations of the Danish Foreign Ministry, EU Chamber of Commerce and Multinational corporations. The industries and countries she dealt with have been borderless and numerous; from lifestyle, design, food, bioscience, marine, construction and to defense, travelling all different continents at the same time. Almost 20 years of her career in the global market entry consulting world gave her tons of stories to tell that she returned to her literature instinct at some point and became an author of ‘Open Sandwich: Nordic way of happiness’, ‘Heartworking: Time that makes us live again’, and a co-author of ‘Scandi-Daddy ; Nordic way of parenting’’ with a Danish journalist. Along the way of her career, she could meet various global leaders in business, startups, political and diplomatic world on a daily basis and observed what kind of success gives a true meaning to life. That curiosity led her to travel around the world again to learn more about those aspects in the fields of positive psychology, international storytelling and transformational leadership. Now she combines all these educational elements, her hands-on career/life experiences, talents and knowledge to help people, companies and organizations live their happy and fulfilling life. She often includes spoken poetry, storytelling as an art and classic singing in her stage to embrace people in a warm way. Her book ‘Heartworking’ starts as “It is not about Hardworking but Heartworking. It is not about Networking but Heartworking” Wherever she goes, she wants to bring the soul of ‘working from heart’ and the ‘heartfelt relationship’ between people in the era of Artificial Intelligence to make humane organizations. She is a graduate from Ewha Womans University in Korea. As a mom of 2 children, she also enjoys devoting herself to inspire working moms and girls around the world who have many obstacles to overcome in their career and life in pursuing their dreams, balancing work and life. She gives workshops, lectures, speeches, storytelling and coaching being a representative of her educational platform ‘Heartening School’ globally and runs a community-based organization, Nordic Cultural Institute locally with her dear partners. Her mission is to change the paradigm of success bringing happiness, joy and growth to the society, workplace and individuals. Another big purpose of Heartening School is to support children and people in need across the globe with food, books and education, to which all the attendees of her educational program contribute together while learning.
