Deb achieves this by supporting people to celebrate their strengths, acknowledge barriers and make the changes that matter to them. It’s a challenging, exhilarating and joyous ride!
Deb works mostly with not-for-profit organisations and government services in Australia. Recent projects include:
• Supporting a community to establish and maintain a collaborative suicide prevention plan.
• Facilitating a collaborative group of government services to identify innovative new ways to walk alongside vulnerable families.
Deb has also published Getting There, a resource for women who have experienced a loss, and their families, friends and professionals, who want to understand what happens when we grieve and how tap into our strength and resilience to build a ‘new normal’.
This book originated from Deb’s personal experience after her husband was killed in a road accident in Poland. Deb’s aim is to change the way we think about grief so it is less fearful, more appreciated and easier to deal with in our society. She is also very interested in working with widows and their children across the world as they deal with injustice and further hardships after the death of their husband.

Deb’s qualifications include a Master of Social Administration and a Bachelor of Arts.
