Sujata is an alumni of the Maharani Gayatri Devi School ( MGD), Jaipur, India and a Graduate in Science from the Punjab University, India. She has a Bachelor of Education degree from the Rajasthan University in India and has several years of teaching experience. She helped found a modern CBSE stream school in the State of Uttarakhand in India and was its first Principal for five years from 2002 to 2007. She was part of the implementation of the Value Based Spiritual Education program for schools in India designed by the Sahaj Marg Reasearch and Training Institute, a not-for-profit organisation. The program was based on a pedagogy involving a combination of Values education with regular subjects taught in schools. The teachers were given resource material and were enabled to use it during their routine class room sessions to help discovery of universal human values in school going children. Sujata joined the Heartfulness movement ( www.heartfulness.org ) as a seeker in 1994 and became a Trainer in 2000. She has been working on the Conscious Living Program of the Heartfulness Institute. The program is based on a strategy of enabling teachers in schools to impart experiential and activity based learning. She has also been been a home maker bringing up two boys while devoting all her spare time to the spread of the Heartfulness movement.
