Cynthia Wong is on a mission to create 1 million inspired moments to empower people all over the world to live a passion-driven life.
Through education, yoga classes, music, poetry, open mic nights, wellness workshops, and more, she crafts community-based events as transformative moments to connect to others, to nature, to the arts, and most importantly, to oneself. Through deeper self awareness, we can more confidently step into the person we want to be, contribute in the best way we uniquely can, and live a happy, fun, and fulfilling life.
Originally from Chicago, USA, Cynthia has lived in 8 countries, explored 56, and currently based in Malaysia. She has 7 years experience working with girls and women through her volunteer, education, startup, and corporate work. Projects range from working with inner city girls in Chicago to express through creative writing; fundraising for and visiting girls education programs in Sri Lanka and beyond; empowering youth in India; teaching in Morocco and Malaysia; creating weekly programs to help refugee kids build confidence, life skills, and public speaking skills; teaching yoga to refugee girls; organizing workshops for refugee women to grow their businesses; marketing and growth for a women's safety mobile app; bringing women poets and musicians to the stage; creating and organizing an 11 day women's wellness event, and more. While most of her work is for anyone, she has a deep passion to empower girls and women through building love for the self and community.
As she continues to freelance online marketing aligned in her path, she shares her travel insights on CynthiaTravels.Life and photography, teaches and organizes experimental yoga classes in Malaysia, Cynthia Active Yogi, and is certified in Theta Healing®, Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, Standup Paddleboard Yoga, and soon, Pre/Post Natal Yoga. Her yoga teacher journey has helped pave her own way facilitating events for the yoga, music, wellness, mindfulness, and refugee communities in Kuala Lumpur. She aims to craft fun and meaningful experiences for people to see and reignite their own light, to honor their intuition, to own their genius, and to be a beacon of light to inspire themselves and their communities.
