She was born in 1960, in Coimbra, Portugal. Lives and works between Lisbon and Shanghai. Graduated in Sculpture by the Faculty of Fine Arts University of Lisbon, has the Advanced Course of Plastic Arts, Ar.Co; Master in Visual Arts Intermedia, at the University of Évora and holds a PhD in Contemporary Art from the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra. Fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology.
She has been exhibiting regularly since 1999, highlighting the institutional participation: Falconer Gallery-Grinnell, Iowa, USA; MoCA Shanghai; China World Art Museum, Pequin, China; Villa Savoye-Le Corbusier, France.
Of the main individual exhibitions stand out: National Museum of Ancient Art, Museum of Neorealism, Museum of Popular Art, Convent of Christ and Lisbon Municipal Photographic Archive.
It has integrated international residency programs with grants from the Gulbenkian Foundation; East Foundation; Institut français du Portugal – Cité international des Arts, Paris.
It was distinguished with the prize of the Portuguese Society of Authors – SPA, for the best exhibition of Plastic Arts of 2014.
