Awakening the Power Within: The Way Forward for UK

WEF-UK 2017 London was led by the ALL Ladies League (ALL) UK Chapter Chair Ms Krishna Pujara along with her NGO – Enfield Saheli.

Women Economic Forum UK was a huge three day event covering a broad range of subjects that are affecting and concerning UK and its citizens in the coming decade and the challenges that it faces in a globally hyper competitive world especially with the collapse of some of its key markets. It also examined the ever increasing awakening of the power of women within and outside and what it means for society as women increasingly coming center stage. Some of the topics that were covered were Holistic wellbeing (Ayurveda, aromatherapy), Personal development (mindfulness and new paradigm business approaches) , Women in innovation, Women in leadership roles, Youth and childcare, Food and nutrition, Ethnic and religious diversity and bridge building, Issues and challenges that surround women especially immigrants and minorities that require immediate attention and their possible solutions – domestic abuse, FGM, substance abuse, depression, homelessness, single parenting, isolation and growing intolerance, Women in entertainment and Media plus those related to the challenges UK is facing on its way forward post Brexit. It also examined the increasing opportunities that UK companies have in emerging markets and the increasing role of women as harbingers of change.

The three day WEF-UK attracted over 350 women from not just Britain but from over 30 countries in Europe, Middle East and South Asia. The event hosted over 125 high profile speakers bringing both diversity and breadth to the discussions. WEF-UK London 2017 had an Advisory Council ( AEC) of 20 members who were guiding the proceedings. WEF-UK London facilitated over 20 women achievers in UK with the ALL-WEF “Iconic Women creating a better world for all” award

Women Economic Forum 2017 is from May 8th to 13th, 2017 in New Delhi on the theme is “Creating, Innovating, Understanding and Driving the Future.” WEF 2017 will attract over 2000 women who come together from 150 countries making it the largest ever diverse global event. WEF 2017 agenda has a broad scope of 36 vertical themes plus 5 verticals on B2B, Corporate presentations, Country presentations, Workshops/Master classes and StartUps/ Entrepreneurship shared within 498 sessions. WEF 2017 has an Advisory Board and an Advisory Executive Council (AEC) made up of 500 of the most influential and empowered women and men from across the world.
